OIR encourages and values all its members,
volunteers and employees and is committed to providing equality for
all. OIR encourages membership from the whole local community of older
retired people and draws on the widest pool of talent available to
recruit volunteers and staff. The purpose of this policy is to provide
equality and fairness for all our members, volunteers and staff and
not discriminate on the grounds of gender, marital status, race,
ethnic origin, colour, nationality, disability, sexual orientation,
religion or age. All employees, volunteers and members will be treated
fairly and with respect. Selection for employment, promotion or
training will be based on aptitude and ability.
