St Andrew's Celebration

A traditional Scottish night is being held to mark St Andrew's night with the vocal talents of Sally Logan, Eddie Devine, Linton McMillan, The Ian Muir Band as well as the Aileen Robertson Dancers with EilidhMcMillan and Mark Smith.

The Auld Kirk Hall, Ayr 7.30p.m. - 9.30p.m. Tickets £10, which includes tea @ biscuits.


Wednesday 30th November

St Andrew's Night Concert for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. There will be singers, fiddlers, country dancers and pipers.

Ayr St Columba's Church from 7.30p.m. Tickets are £6 available from Jim Colvin on 01292 267558 or at the door on the night of the concert.


The Exhibition Shorelines currently at Maclaurin Gallery Rozelle until Friday December 23. Featuring work by artist Alison Bell and Cathy Treadaway.

In Dulci Jubilo - recital by Matthew Hynes, talented organist at St Columba's Church, Ayr and his wife Rachel Hynes, soprano, who sings with Scottish Opera and English National Opera, performed in semi candlelight. 3.00p.m. Portland Parish Church, Troon. Tickets £5 at the door.

Boxing Day Dip with a Nip 2.p.m. Prestwick Beach

In freezing temperatures hundreds of dippers run into the Firth of Clyde to raise money for children with cancer. Entry is free but the organisers request that participants try to raise as much sponsorship as possible for Clic Sargent Scotland. All dippers are given goody bags, nips of whiskey, hot soup and pizza after the event......are you brrrrrrave enough??.
