Organisations for the Elderly

Age Concern Scotland manages the Scottish telephone Helpline which gives information to older people and those concerned about them. Call 0845 125 9732, Monday to Friday, 10 am - 4 pm.

Help the Aged in Scotland lobbies on behalf of older people. Its website contains  advice and information. They also run SeniorLine, a free telephone advice service for older people, their relatives, carers and friends. Call 0808 800 6565, Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.

Saga is a commercial organisation aimed at the over-50s. Its website includes information about the Saga Magazine, Health, Holidays, Finance, and even Saga Radio.

South Ayrshire

South Ayrshire Council make available a tremendous amount of information on all aspects of life in its area including leisure and culture. 

Ayr Arts Guild

Ayr Arts Guild is a voluntary body with membership open to any person or group interested in the objects of the Guild.
