Organisations for the Elderly

Age Scotland is a registered charity in Scotland, formed on 1 April 2009 by the merger of Help the Aged in Scotland and Age Concern Scotland. It promotes the interests of all people over 50 in Scotland. Local services include advice, advocacy and information, day centres and lunch clubs, drop-in and leisure activities, home visits. It also provides a range of factsheets on issues affecting older people - subjects include money, community care, care homes and housing.

Saga is a commercial organisation aimed at the over-50s. Its website includes information about the Saga Magazine, Health, Holidays, Finance, and even Saga Radio.

   

South Ayrshire

South Ayrshire Council make available a tremendous amount of information on all aspects of life in its area including leisure and culture. 

 

Ayr Arts Guild

Ayr Arts Guild is a voluntary body with membership open to any person or group interested in the objects of the Guild.
